Consistent with the principles of The Callanetics Method developed by Callan Pinckney over twenty years ago, CardioCallanetics represents a non-traditional approach to aerobics. By using larger and more controlled ranges of motion your body recruits more muscle fibers causing more calories and fat to be burned. Following Cardio is the premiere of the CallaneticsEvolution Body By Design Toning Program. This revolutionary fitness program features new exercises and training techniques. My experience The 30 minutes of aerobics is just what I need to do first thing in the morning. The exercises are easy to follow, fun and interesting. With three different levels of ability to follow (follow the beginning exerciser, intermediate or advanced, depending on your fitness level) you can adjust your exercise in the moment to allow for how you are feeling at the time. The 40 minute segment of toning also offered the same three levels of exercisers to follow. I found it to be enjoyable, as challenging as I needed it to be, and fast! The day after doing the toning for the first time I noticed that my posture improved. The story of CardioCallanetics There has never been a program so fast to improve muscle strength, flexibility and endurance as The Callanetics Exercise Method yet many of Callan’s fans who needed to lose weight or increase their cardiovascular fitness continued to ask her to develop a cardiovascular fitness method. In 1995 she began working with Sara Kooperman and Kathleen Horstmeyer to develop such a program. Her goals were to incorporate the ballet and yoga “meditation in motion” and body alignment concepts from her toning program without having any jumping or jarring she had experienced in other aerobics classes. With these principles in mind, The CardioCallanetics Exercise Program developed into a totally unique and innovative approach to cardiovascular fitness. This non-traditional interdisciplinary approach to cardiovascular health integrates Callan’s meditation in motion as in The Callanetics Exercise Method, but in flowing continuous movements. Whereas music designed for traditional low impact aerobics is performed at 140-155 beats per minute (music beats not heart rate), CardioCallanetics music is designed at 110-118 beats per minute. The slower beats per minute of the music allows for larger and more controlled ranges of motion requiring the body to recruit more muscle fibers. More muscle fibers results in more calories burned. Disclaimer: As with all exercise programs and equipment you should check with your trusted doctor to ensure you physically good enough shape to do the exercises and routines. While these exercises have given many people great results, results aren't guaranteed. Shipping in the USA is free |
